Icing Stove Top - Double Icing Banana Cake
This vanilla frosting is an old-fashioned cooked frosting that's easy for anyone to make. It's less sweet than the typical powdered sugar or buttercream frostings. It's a great base for any double icing cake. Double icing - vanilla icing, topped with chocolate icing.
Ingredients
4 Tablespoons flour1 Cup Milk
→ using a small saucepan, add the milk slowly to flour to avoid lumps, cook on medium low heat - stirring continuously until thick. Set aside to cool completely.
In the meantime, blend:
1 cup butter - room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
→ slowly mix in the cooled mixture from the saucepan, then beat on high until fluffy.
