Hershey's Easy- Does- It Chocolate Cake Recipe #11
Ingredients
1 3/4 Cup unsifted All-Purpose Flour2 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cups Hershey's (or any other good brand) Cocoa
1& 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1& 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Eggs, beaten
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 tsp Vanilla
1 Cups Boiling Water
Instructions
Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin) and mix. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool. Frost with Butter cream Frosting. Recipe follows...Butter cream Frosting (Hershey's Recipe #10)
6 Tb. Butter, softened
Cocoa- 1/3 Cup for light flavor
1/2 Cup for medium flavor
3/4 Cup for dark flavor,
2& 2/3 Cups unsifted Confectioners Sugar
1/3 Cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Cream butter in a small bowl. Add cocoa and confectioners sugar alternately with milk; beat to spreading consistency. Blend in vanilla. Additional milk may be needed. Makes 2 cups.
